Plainly: we built Undertone so it never holds on to what you share.
What we keep
Nothing you paste is saved on our servers. Your message is sent to an AI model only to create your reading, with storage turned off, and then it's gone. We don't use accounts, ads or tracking cookies.
What stays on your device
By default, your past readings are saved in this browser so you can look back at them. You can turn this off in History and clear everything with one tap. Nobody else, including us, can see it.
If someone else uses your phone
Turn off "Save readings on this device", use a private or incognito window, and press Quick exit (or Esc twice) to leave instantly. If you think your device is being monitored, use a device the other person can't access.
The bot check
A short hCaptcha check keeps automated abuse off the free tool. hCaptcha handles that check under its own privacy policy.
Donations
Donations go through Zeffy, which charges our nonprofit no fees. Zeffy may suggest an optional tip for itself, and you can set it to $0.
